Who Love These Mountains
is the perfect coffee table book for any lover of the outdoors, whether they wish to be reminded of their own adventures or revel in the wilds from the comfort of their couch.
For more than 50 years Bob and Kyle have called the mountains of northern New Mexico, near Taos, home. While they have explored much of the mountains, desert and canyon country of the Southwest, the Wheeler Peak and Columbine-Hondo Wilderness areas are their “backyard.”
Who Love These Mountains –
Journeys of the Heart into a Taos Wilderness,
chronicles adventures in the magnificent forests, tundra, lakes and peaks through lyrical prose, short stories and 91 pages of outstanding photographs.

From the dedication by Kyle Remiger
The beauty of these mountains I call home moves me to tears. Pristine raw honesty, authentic, real, alive. Such grandeur invites an intimate exchange between the Spirit of Nature and its expression as the Human Spirit.
Yet, there is a paradox for those of us who cherish our time alone in these wild places. Selfishly, perhaps, we want to keep them secret. Solitude puts us in contact with our deeper selves. At the same time, by sharing these sacred hide-a-ways, we hope to encourage the curiosity that inspires people to experience the wonder for themselves and to recognize this is our planet, the only one we have.
So, through the mediums of word and photography, this book is our way of sharing what has become most important in our lives together. Our wish is to bring the reader closer to the absolute magic that can spontaneously arise in the perfect way needed to refresh Body, Soul and Spirit. It is dedicated to all ‘who love these mountains’, acknowledging those in the past, those in the present and those who may be inspired in the future.
