Sneezeweed for manyChamisa’s pollen attractsDazzling dotted wings

Precious waterfall  Just a trickle over stone  Fireweed doesn’t mind

Cattail symmetry  Tempting you into the marsh  Where all things line up

As days grow shorter  Sunflowers reach for the sky  Absorbing summer

Green fresh plump chilies  Wait in baskets for roasting  Fragrant harvest air

Above the flotsamSwift blue dragonfly hoversBefore darting off

Filling this gully  Too pretty to be a weed  Butter and eggs thrive

Can’t call her stupid  As she stands in cool waters  Passing a hot day

Receding summer lake  Drains remnant tundra water  Riffled by the wind
